Retreat Terms and Conditions

1. Booking & Payment​

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place on the retreat.

Full payment must be made by the agreed date prior to the retreat start. Failure to complete payment may result in your place being released.

All payments are non-transferable without prior written agreement.

​

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy​

Due to the nature of retreat planning and upfront costs:

​

• All payments are non-refundable

• If you cancel, you may transfer your place to another suitable participant (subject to approval)

• No refunds will be given for unused portions of the retreat

​

In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled by the organiser, you will be offered:

​

• a rescheduled date or

• a refund of the retreat fee (excluding any third-party costs already incurred where non-recoverable)

 

3. Travel & Insurance ​

All participants are responsible for:

​

• Booking their own flights

• Ensuring valid passports, visas, and travel documentation

• Obtaining comprehensive travel insurance

• Consulting with a Doctor beforehand regarding necessary immunisations (none required for UK travel to Sri Lanka at the moment)

 

Your insurance must cover:

​

• Trip cancellation

• Medical emergencies

• Personal belongings

• Travel disruption (including flight cancellations)

 

The organiser accepts no responsibility for:

​

• flight cancellations or delays

• travel disruption

• loss of personal belongings

 

4. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility​

By attending this retreat, you confirm that:

​

• You are physically and mentally fit to participate

• You take full responsibility for your own wellbeing during the retreat

 

You agree that:

​

• You participate in all activities at your own risk

• You will inform the organiser of any medical conditions in advance

 

This retreat is not a substitute for:

​

• medical care

• therapy

• or professional mental health support

 

5. Nature of the Retreat​

This retreat takes place in a remote jungle eco-lodge environment.

​

By booking, you acknowledge and accept:

​

• Basic accommodation and facilities

• Exposure to wildlife and natural surroundings

• Hot, humid, and unpredictable weather conditions

• Cultural differences and varying standards of living

 

No refunds will be given based on discomfort relating to these conditions.

 

6. Activities & Third-Party Providers

Some activities (e.g. yoga, tours, local experiences) may be provided by third-party providers.

The organiser is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from third-party services​. Participation in all activities is voluntary and at your own risk.

​

7. Community Projects & Volunteering​

Participation in local community or environmental projects is part of the retreat experience.

​

Guests agree to:

​

• act respectfully and responsibly

• follow all guidance provided

• understand that conditions may be physically and emotionally challenging

​

Due to the nature of this retreat, Drops of Jupiter is happy for all successful applicants to fundraise up to 50% of the costs of their experience. 

​

Please do not attempt to raise funds until your application has been approved and your £200 deposit has been paid.

​

Drops of Jupiter will provide all successful applicants with a fundraising pack upon confirmation of their booking.

8. Behaviour & Conduct​

This retreat is a shared group experience.

​

The organiser reserves the right to remove any participant, without refund, who:

​

• behaves in a disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful manner

• negatively impacts the group experience

​

9. Changes to the Retreat​

The organiser reserves the right to:

​

• adjust the itinerary

• modify activities

• substitute elements where necessary

​

This may be due to weather, safety, local conditions, or unforeseen circumstances.

​

10. Force Majeure​

The organiser is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

​

• natural disasters

• political instability

• pandemics

• travel restrictions

​

In such cases, refunds may not be possible where costs have already been incurred.

​

11. Limitation of Liability​

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

​

• The organiser is not liable for injury, loss, or damage incurred during the retreat

• Participation is entirely at your own risk

​

12. Agreement​

By booking and attending this retreat, you confirm that:

​

• You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions

• You agree to all terms outlined above

​

*If your application is successful, you will be asked to sign a copy of our terms and conditions, along with a Liability Waiver. Both of these documents will be sent to you after your deposit has been received.
